Arwind Santos vows to stay out of trouble
Arwind Santos has vowed to stay out of trouble for the upcoming 45th season of the PBA.
The 38-year old San Miguel veteran is coming off an indefinite suspension slapped by team management for taking part in a practice scuffle which transpired last November 17. Aside from Santos, also penalized were Ronald Tubid and Kabong Nabong who, incidentally, are both not part of the squad anymore.
Santos admitted that he has learned his lessons already.
“The good thing is eto, nandito pa rin ako, patuloy na lalaban at maglalaro dito sa San Miguel. Masaya ako doon,” said the player who goes by the moniker ‘Spider-Man’.
“Sabi ko nga, maiwasan na rin yung mga ganung pangyayari,” he added.
The 2013 PBA Most Valuable Player said that it was great feeling to rejoin the team after the unfortunate incident.
“Masaya naman dahil siyempre, after nung mga nangyari, ganun talaga. Sabi ko nga, si June Mar, yun ang pagsubok niya, sa akin, yun ang pagsubok ko. Ganun talaga. May mga kanya-kanya kaming mga pagsubok,” explained Santos.
The Beermen, who will miss the services of main man June Mar Fajardo in the upcoming Philippine Cup, are aiming for a 6th staight All-Filipino title and will take on Magnolia as the new season unfolds on March 8 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
