Beermen activate Terrence Romeo

San Miguel has activated shooting guard Terrence Romeo in time for its final push in the elimination round of the PBA Season 47 Commissioner’s Cup.
The Beermen are currently tied with the Meralco Bolts for 7th and 8th spots in the standings with both teams sporting 4-5 win-loss records.
The defending champs still have three matches left on their schedule – against Terrafirma on November 23, TNT on the 26th and Meralco on December 2.
The 30-year old Romeo last saw action on March 18, 2022. Prior to sustaining a back injury during the quarterfinal round of the 2021-22 Governors’ Cup, he was averaging 12.1 points, 3.9 assists, and 2.8 rebounds.
The 5th overall pick of the 2013 draft completely missed the succeeding Season 47 Philippine Cup wherein Beermen recaptured the title after missing out on the last 2 stagings of the league’s most prestigious conference.
With his change in status from injured to active, Romeo can now suit up for the game against the Dyip on Wednesday.
SMB team manager Gee Abanilla, however, bared that there’s still no timetable for the return of the former scoring champion despite him already being on the active roster.
“Activated na siya but it is up to him kung kailan siya lalaro,” said Abanilla.
Aside from Romeo, June Mar Fajardo is also set to return to active duty. The 6-foot-10 SMB main man, who recently underwent throat surgery, has been in uniform for the past 2 games and is only awaiting the go-signal of his doctor before plunging back into action.
