Beermen still waiting for the arrival of Chris Ross

San Miguel is currently missing the presence of chief playmaker Chris Ross who is still in the US spending time with his family.
The 35-year old native of San Antonio, Texas is currently awaiting the medical result of his ailing mother but is nonetheless keeping an open line of communication with team management.
“Inaabangan ko pa rin. Hopefully, sana okay naman yung mother niya,” stressed team manager Gee Abanilla.
“As soon na makuha niya yung last checkup (ng mother) niya, and maging OK na lahat hopefully, kukuha na siya ng flight pabalik dito,” he added.
Aside from Ross, the Beermen are also without main man June Mar Fajardo who is currently recovering from a pre-season surgery of his fractured right tibia.
Despite being inactive for quite sometime, Abanilla disclosed that Ross has been keeping himself in shape in anticipation of the planned 2020 Philippine Cup restart on October 9 at the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga.
“Pero he’s keeping in shape. OK naman siya,” said the former SMB head coach.
The sole conference is expected to run for two months with daily double-headers to be played at the Angeles University Foundation gym in Angeles City. The entire PBA contingent will be billeted at the Quest Hotel in Mimosa which is just a 10-minute drive from the venue.
