Brandon Brown out as SMB import

Brandon Brown has played his last game with San Miguel.

The 36-year old American import on Wednesday bid farewell to the Beermen via Instagram story.

“Thank you San Miguel for my time here. Thank you PBA for allowing imports to come to this country and do what they love,” wrote Brown.

“Thank you fans for the support. Happy you guys get to watch your favorite teams. Dark B out,” he added.

The former Phoenix reinforcement played 5 games in the 2021 Governors’ Cup and submitted decent averages of 23.4 points on 44.2-percent shooting from the field, to go along with 12.6 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 3.0 steals. His best game was against NLEX where he scattered 36 points in 36 minutes alongside 13 rebounds.

SMB team manager Gee Abanilla, however, has yet to confirm this development and announce who, if ever, will take over Brown’s spot.
