Louie Vigil rejoins SMB as Matt Ganuelas-Rosser opts out of PBA bubble
Louie Vigil is back with San Miguel.
The 29-year old, 17th overall pick of the Beermen in the 2017 draft is rejoining the team after being loaned to Alab Pilipinas late last year.
Vigil will take the place of Matt Ganuelas-Rosser who opted to stay with his family in the US.
“Si Matt Ganuelas-Rosser hindi makakasama,” bared head coach Leo Austria.
“He wrote a letter to the management and coaching staff regarding the whole family in the States. Alam naman natin in California, the past few weeks maliwanag ang kalangitan nila dun because of the wildfire. Siguro apektado rin sila roon,” he added.
Ganuelas-Rosser will join June Mar Fajardo in the sidelines for the defending Philippine Cup champions as the 6-time PBA MVP is still recuperating from the shin injury he sustained during the preseason.
The Beermen will depart for the PBA bubble in Clark, Pampanga on Tuesday, September 29.
