San Miguel signs Kyt Jimenez, Troy Mallillin to two-year deals

Kyt Jimenez has officially joined San Miguel.

On Wednesday, the online sensation inked a two-year contract with the Beermen after being selected 76th overall during the PBA Season 48 draft.

SMB team manager Gee Abanilla confirmed the development.

Jimenez will join the Beermen for the upcoming season after playing for Gensan in the MPBL, where he once recorded a rare quadruple double.

He now holds the PBA record for being the lowest draft pick to sign a contract.

Jimenez, arguably the most popular player in his batch, became a YouTube star during his previous collaborations with Mavs Phenomenal before eventually going solo.

The 5-foot-11 guard is slated to share the backcourt with Terrence Romeo, whom he proudly considers as his idol.

In the ongoing MPBL season, Jimenez is averaging 7.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.4 steals for the Warriors.

The league’s winningest franchise also signed Troy Mallillin, the 35th overall pick in the draft, to a two-year contract. Mallillin is currently leading Rizal in the MPBL with averages of 12.3 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals, and 1.0 block per game.

The Beermen did not extend offers to Jayson Apolonio, Jayvee Dela Cruz, Jamel Ramos, and JBoy Gob while Ichie Altamirano’s status is still unknown as of posting time.
