San Miguel to dedicate PBA bubble campaign to injured Terrence Romeo

San Miguel head coach Leo Austria is disheartened by the fact that Terrence Romeo will be out for the duration of the team’s campaign in the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup restart due to a dislocated shoulder.
Austria disclosed that the 3-time PBA scoring champion had prepared extremely hard for the resumption of the All-Filipino conference.
The rest of the team is now intent on dedicating their PBA bubble campaign to Romeo.
“We are saddened by the incident. Eto ‘yung sinasabi ng team lagi na iba ang may pinagsamahan. Merong down pero dine-dedicate nila ‘yung game para sa kanila,” said Austria.
The 62-year old mentor bared that Romeo was emotionally devastated by the injury.
“We are so saddened kasi before the bubble, he said na, ‘Coach, I’m really in shape.’ That’s why during the incident, I waited for him in the hospital and talked to him for about an hour dahil he is crying,” said Austria.
“Eto ‘yung big question niya. Bakit sa akin pa nangyari? Ako ang pinaka-kundisyon sa team. And we witnessed it,” he added.
Austria believes that Romeo was due for a breakout game based on the kind of preparation he had.
“Meron siyang vision. Gusto niyang ipakita na he wants to help the team and recognized naman ng team ‘yan. We are praying for you. Everybody is missing you.”
