SMC teams now on standby mode after undergoing COVID-19 testing

The waiting game has begun for Brgy. Ginebra, Magnolia and San Miguel.
The three teams under the San Miguel Corp. umbrella in the PBA are now on standby mode after undergoing testing for COVID-19 on Wednesday at the SMC Head Office Complex in Ortigas.
Once the results of the tests are out, the league is expected to formally announce the date of individual team workouts.
Gin Kings head coach Tim Cone bared that the squad is all pumped up to get back to work after the initial attempt to resume training was postposed after the government placed the National Capital Region under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) two weeks ago due to the continued surge of COVID-19 cases in the country.
“The individual workouts, we already have plans, we already have a group made, we have a gym, our own gym that we’ve been practicing before,” explained Cone whose team works out regularly at the Upper Deck gym in Ortigas.
“We’re all set and we’re all ready to go. We have the cluster that we’re going to use together. We put a lot of thought to it. And we have programs in place. Now it’s just a matter of getting a go signal,” added the league’s winningest mentor.
The Beermen, on the other hand, will have their training at the Green Meadows gym.
