Terrence Romeo out indefinitely due to back spasm

Terrence Romeo won’t be able to play for San Miguel in the early goings of the PBA Season 47 Philippine Cup.
SMB head coach Leo Austria bared that the flamboyant guard is currently suffering from back spasm.
And there’s still no timetable for the return of the former 3-time PBA scoring champion.
“He’s still recuperating from the injury and there’s no definite time kung kailan siya makakabalik,” said Austria during the PBA Media Day at Novotel Hotel on Thursday.
“We’re not expecting him to be back soon,” he added.
Currently, the 30-year old Caviteño is unable to join the team’s practice sessions due to the injury but is set to undergo therapy and rehabilitation as soon as the pain subsides.
“Hirap siyang gumalaw,” said Austria noting that Romeo sustained the injury about a month ago.
Austria added that the absence of the former Gilas Pilipinas stalwart would be a big blow to their cause, claiming that “In his best game makikita mo yung impact niya.”
Still, the Beermen are in capable hands with June Mar Fajardo, Chris Ross, Marcio Lassiter, Jericho Cruz and CJ Perez leading the charge.
The 27-time PBA champs open their All-Filipino campaign on Wednesday, June 8 against Matthew Wright and the rest of the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters.
