Terrence Romeo top scorer, Chris Ross steals leader in PH Cup elims
Three-time scoring champion Terrence Romeo is again the top scorer in the league at the end of the elimination round of the 2021 PBA Philippine Cup.
The flashy guard overcame an assortment of injuries to average 19.0 points on a 46.8 shooting percentage from the floor in the six games he played for the San Miguel Beermen.
He was followed by TNT rookie Mikey Williams with 18.4, while NorthPort’s Robert Bolick is just a hairline away at the third spot with 18.1 points. The top 5 scorers round out with Stanley Pringle of Brgy. Ginebra and CJ Perez of San Miguel occupying the fourth and fifth spots with 17.5 and 17.2, respectively.
On the other hand, NorthPort’s off-season key addition Greg Slaughter stamped his class as the best big in the league by topping the rebounding and shot blocking department with averages of 10.7 and 2.3, respectively. He likewise ranks within the Top 10 in scoring with 16.5 points at No.8.
Barangay Ginebra’s Christian Standhardinger and six-time MVP June Mar Fajardo of San Miguel ended up as second and third with averages of 10.5 and 9.8, respectively. Magnolia’s Calvin Abueva is in 4th place with 9.7, while Alaska’s Yousef Taha, with 9.6, round out the top 5 players in rebounding.
