Vic Manuel excited to play for ‘dream team’ San Miguel

After making a short stopover at NorthPort, Vic Manuel found himself on the move again less than 48 hours after being shipped by Phoenix Super LPG along with Michael Calisaan to the Batang Pier in exchange for Sean Anthony, Sean Maganti and a 2022 2nd round pick.
The 34-year old former PSBA Jaguar was dealt to San Miguel for fellow veteran Arwind Santos on Monday, November 8 in a deal which was instantly approved by the PBA trade committee.
Upon learning of the development, Manuel took to Facebook to express his excitement over playing for his ‘childhood’ team.
“Pag gising ko, umidlip lang, nagising ulit (beer) na. My favorite team growing up,” wrote the Licab, Nueva Ecija native with the hashtag #dreamteam
The 9th overall pick of the 2012 draft will finally have a chance to win that elusive title after falling short 5 times in the PBA Finals, 3 coming from the hands of the Beermen. The two other times were against Rain or Shine and Magnolia, all while playing for Alaska.
Manuel broke through the league via GlobalPort (now NorthPort) in 2012 and had previous stints with the Meralco Bolts, Air21 Express, the Aces and the Fuel Masters.
