Nothing beats than saving for the rainy day.

For Arwind Santos, it was the biggest lesson he learned as the country and the rest of the world cope up with the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic.

The San Miguel Beer veteran said a little savings here and there somehow could help one tide things over especially during difficult times like the current health crisis.

“Natutunan ko na dapat makapag-ipon ka kaagad. Para sa akin, kailangan mag-ipon ka hangga’t malakas ka kasi hindi mo masasabi ang mangyayari sa ating mundo,” Santos stressed during the FWD Kamustahan episode of the PBA.

“Kamukha niyan nangyari ito, tapos wala kang ipon, wala kang huhugutin, anong gagawin mo?”

Sports is one of the hardest hit sectors during the outbreak of COVID-19, most especially the PBA which had to shelve the season indefinitely after just a single game in the Philippine Cup.

Through the compassion and generosity of team owners, though, the PBA Board approved the decision to extend players’ contracts until December whether the season restarts or not.
