WATCH: CJ Perez talks about the trade that brought him to San Miguel!

The PBA Commissioner’s Office on Tuesday gave its stamp of approval on the controversial deal between San Miguel and Terrafirma.

After a very minor revision which saw the Beermen throw in their first round pick in the 2022 draft to the original package of Russel Escoto, Matt Ganuelas-Rosser, Gelo Alolino and the 8th overall pick in the upcoming draft for CJ Perez, the league deemed it was enough and made it official.

The 2019 PBA Rookie of the Year is now headed to SMB after spending two seasons with the Dyip.

Perez led the league in scoring for a second consecutive season and averaged 24.4 points on 43.6 percent shooting, 6.8 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.0 steals in 37.2 minutes of action. The Dyip, however, stumbled out of contention in the compressed season after posting miserable 1-10 record.

Ganuelas-Rosser opted to skip the PBA bubble in Clark, Pampanga to spend more time with his family in the US. He posted averages of 1.4 points, 1.4 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.4 steals in 45 games for the Beermen during the 2019 PBA season.

Alolino averaged 2.7 points on 44.4 percent shooting to go with 0.7 assists and 0.3 in 7 minutes of action in 7 games while Escoto logged in 12.2 minutes in 13 games and tallied 2.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 0.7 blocks.
