WATCH: PBA Kamustahan – Episode 6 Part 1

The Philippine Basketball Association will be with those who will keenly await President Rodrigo Duterte’s address Monday which determines whether the PBA players can start doing some activities outside their homes or remain on lockdown under strict quarantine measures.

“Kapag gumanda (the measures to be announced by the chief executive), gaganda ang sitwasyon ng PBA. Kapag lumala, wala naman tayong magagawa,” said PBA commissioner Willie Marcia, hoping for the best for everybody in the fight against COVID-19 and the best for the league.

The Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has made its recommendations, but Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque said the ultimate decision is on the President.

Duterte is faced with the decision to extend the general community quarantine, graduate to a less strict modified GCQ or shift back to modified enhanced community quarantine.

The decision will have crucial bearing on the wishes of various sports leagues, including the PBA, for a calibrated return to training and hopefully return to play before the end of the year.
